Where Indiana’s Soccer Future Begins
The Indiana Development League (IDL) is built for today’s soccer families—affordable, flexible, and truly player-focused. We exist to serve clubs that want a voice in shaping the game and players who deserve opportunities to grow, compete, and belong.
As a proud US Club Soccer & Great Lakes Alliance-affiliated league, IDL offers more than just local play. Our structure gives each member club a seat at the table, with real input into how the league is governed. This member-led approach ensures the league works with our teams, not just for them.
We also know many of our teams dream big—competing across state lines and on national stages. That’s why IDL supports national-level player passes through US Club Soccer, making it easy to travel and compete without red tape or state-by-state barriers.
Whether you’re focused on player development close to home or preparing your team for elite competition, IDL provides the platform and pathway to get there—with the flexibility and support you need.

Frequently Asked Questions
At the Indiana Development League (IDL), our priority is creating a soccer environment where clubs, players, and families have a real voice. That’s why we’ve chosen to affiliate with US Club Soccer instead of the traditional state association model.
With US Club Soccer, each club in the IDL has the opportunity to be part of the decision-making process. Every member club can have a voting representative—helping shape the direction and standards of the league. This means IDL is truly member-led and community-focused.
Another big reason? Flexibility for travel and competition. Many of our teams want to compete in other states or at higher levels of play. US Club Soccer allows for national player passes, making travel and participation in top-tier events much easier—no need for additional state-by-state paperwork or restrictions.
And while IDL focuses on local development, we also support teams who want to explore regional and national US Club Soccer events. These opportunities are available and encouraged if a team chooses to take that next step.
At the end of the day, it’s about empowering clubs, simplifying the process, and giving our players the best shot at reaching their potential—on their terms.
